Curtis Night is a travel journal for people who want the bill before the brochure. We book the rooms, walk the routes and pay for the meals we recommend.
Who we are
We are a small desk of travel editors, hotel reviewers and city walkers who got tired of press releases dressed up as advice. Curtis Night started in 2021 as a shared notebook of room rates and weekend routes. Today it helps readers plan coastal escapes, city breaks and quieter trips without guessing what the final bill will be.
Our mission
We make travel decisions cheaper and clearer. Every week we publish free guides across five sections: Coastal Retreat, Urban Journey, Hidden Getaway, Boutique Stay and Cultural Discovery. You get real 2026 prices, honest room notes and the trade-offs we would tell a friend.
Editorial standards
No sponsored picks, no pay-to-rank lists. We pay retail for what we test, disclose any relationship before it matters and correct mistakes in public. Numbers come from our own bookings, published fare records and direct quotes from the property, never from a brand's marketing deck. If a hotel, route or neighbourhood fails in real use, we say so.
The team
Curtis Night runs the desk as founder and editor. Reporting comes from contributing hotel reviewers, city guides and route planners who file their own expenses. Every guide is checked by a second editor before it ships, and none of us take payment from the places we cover.
Talk to us
Corrections, pitches and reader questions are welcome at [email protected] or through our contact page. We reply within one business day, and we read every note. If we got something wrong, tell us and we will fix it where everyone can see the change.
Book the room, keep the receipt, tell the truth.
